Graphical Diversions: truck, Eurasia map.

The past few days were full of unhealthy eating, awful sleep pattern, no exercise, and futile attempts at writing this landmark paper.  I’ve been constantly distracted, but a few good things did came out from this diversion; enjoy.  (On the bright side, I think I will be done with the first draft of this paper tomorrow…)

The first is one of the many “learning exercises”; the latter is a full-sized monster for a project I’m collaborating on.  Don’t have too much to say about the project at the moment, but I’ll be the first to let the world know when something interesting come out of it…   I may generate a full-sized world map and release it under Creative Commons license, and I’ve tracked enough of the progress to have a tutorial to go with it too.

    • Thank you Linda. I benefit from tools that are not usually used in traditional art, and that make some things easier to do than others. I had a look at your blog, and I am much more impressed by your creations than I am with my own. Your apple blossoms are admirable.
